TLFG: 13-19 April 2026

Greetings everyone and welcome to this week's TLFG.

I've been really pushed for time over the last few days so it's just match maps from me again.

The Non-League Day post-event work is continuing to take up my time and it's all looking good.

On Saturday I took part in this year's QPR Tiger Feet Walk. This event raises funds for the club's sports club for kids with Down's syndrome.

I co-founded it back in 2010 with sports journalist Chris Charles and it's brought in a sum that's now well into six figures.

The route took us from the club's training ground near Heathrow to Loftus Road in time for the 1230pm kick-off against Bristol City.

Originally set for 3pm, Sky's rescheduling meant we had to be at the stadium for 620am to catch the minibus to the training ground.

It all went well and apart from a bit of wind and drizzle when we got to Osterley Park, the conditions were generally okay.

We got to go on the pitch when we arrived and then got a ticket for the game which must have been one of the most uneventful in football history - both sides were lucky to get nil!

The amount raised is approaching £20,000 so if you can help it reach that milestone by donating a little something, I'd really appreciate it.

On Sunday, I had hoped to head north to St Neots to watch Actonians' final away game of the season at Cambridge United.

Sadly a few things cropped up and I had to watch the reserves play Camden Town instead. It was gutting as the first team won 1-0 with a dramatic injury-time goal to go fifth.

The A's have won their last four and are hoping to pip arch-rivals QPR to that fifth spot - there's only one point in it with one game to go.

With the weather set fair for the next few days, hopefully you'll get to a game or two. Enjoy!

THE WEEK AHEAD

The Champions League tops the bill but there are also games in the Premier League and EFL.

We've also got games in the National League, there are one or two minor cup finals and all our other local non-league competitions have games as well.

In the women's game, England take on Spain in a blockbuster World Cup qualifier at Wembley which is almost sold out. As a result of that, most teams in the top four tiers have the week off.

As always, please make sure you check with clubs before you travel just in case a game has been called off or the venue or kick-off time has changed - this is highly possible for some of the lower non-league clubs and development matches. Also, please let me know if anything is wrong or missing.

Details on all of this week's games can be found on the following match maps. If you've never used them before, please note that when there is more than one match at a specific ground you'll only be able to see individual match pins if you zoom right in. If you don't, the pins obscure each other and you might miss them. To avoid this, you can also scroll down the list of games on the drop down menu at the top of the map page to make sure you get all the information. Games are listed from top to bottom in date order so Monday's games (yellow pin) will appear first and Sunday's (orange pin) last. Games are also ranked in terms of status so the higher the division, the higher up the list they will appear on each day.
Also if you're unfamiliar with the English league structure I indicate the level at which an individual league sits in the national 'pyramid' with the Premier League at the top (Level 1) and various minor leagues at the bottom (Level 10). Typically a top level game will see crowds of anywhere between 20,000-60,000. These figures will gradually decline as you go down the leagues until you get to Levels 8-10 where attendances of 150 or less are most common.

It should also be noted that the top four levels are for fully professional teams. Level 5 has a mixture of professional and semi-professional teams, while Levels 6-10 will see most players paid but it will vary from no more than travel expenses at the bottom, right up to several hundred pounds a week at the top.

TLFG: 7-12 April 2026

Greetings everyone and welcome to this week's TLFG.

The route will take us from the club's training ground near Heathrow to Loftus Road in time for the 1230pm kick-off against Bristol City.

Originally set for 3pm, Sky's rescheduling now means we have to be at the start around 645am!!!

Anyway, it's usually great fun and I've recruited three friends to join me who've never done it before so hopefully the weather will hold.

On Sunday, I hope to head north to St Neots to watch Actonians' final away game of the season at Cambridge United. The A's have won their last three and are hoping to pip arch-rivals QPR to fifth - there's only one point in it with two games to go.

THE WEEK AHEAD

The Premier League tops the bill but there are also games in the Conference League and EFL. It's also the EFL Trophy Final at Wembley too.

We've also got games in the National League, there are one or two minor cup finals and all our other local non-league competitions have games as well.

In the women's game, there's an international break so games in the FAWNL take centre stage with clubs like AFC Wimbledon, Fulham and QPR playing matches at their main stadiums.

As always, please make sure you check with clubs before you travel just in case a game has been called off or the venue or kick-off time has changed - this is highly possible for some of the lower non-league clubs and development matches. Also, please let me know if anything is wrong or missing.

TLFG: 3-6 April 2026

Greetings one and all and welcome to this delayed Easter Special.

As you may have noticed, it was Non-League Day last weekend and figures suggest it went rather well,

In Steps 1-4, 80.6% of the 160 clubs reporting an figure, received an above average attendance.

The average increase per club was 24.7%. AFC Dunstable saw their crowd go up by over 200%.

Post event number crunching, my job and school holidays mean my attention to this blog has been hugely scaled back - I'm currently writing this in a dark family room in a hotel in Eastbourne while the rest of my tribe sleeps!

As a result I've only managed to create a match map for the Easter Weekend from Friday to Monday - there is a lot of great stuff on and some staggered kick-offs meaning you can do a few doubles.

Enjoy!

 THE WEEK AHEAD

This weekend's highlights include games in the Men's and Women's FA Cup, EFL, National League and lots of other games featuring our local non-league and women's clubs.
